THE DEPARTURE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
PART TWO

Given to John S. Torell December 28, 2002 by the Holy Spirit

12 January 2003
The most frightening thought a human being can have, is the thought of being abandoned by God. God is truth, light, love, mercy, judgment and salvation from our sins, and only God can give man eternal life in heaven. 1 John 1:4-10; Revelation 20:10-15

NO HUMAN BEING CAN BE SAVED, UNLESS GOD DRAWS THEM!
In order to be saved, a person must be convicted over their sins and feel grief over them, and be willing to repent and change his/her life style. Without repentance there is no salvation! The conviction of sins is the work of the Holy Spirit, no man in himself has the capacity of understanding sin and grieve over it.
John 6:44; 65; 16:7-11; Romans 10:1-17

WORKING OUT YOUR SALVATION
The believers in Christ are given a strong warning by the apostle Paul, to work out our salvation with fear and trembling!

JESUS IS LORD!  Philippians 2:9-11

WE ARE TO WORK OUT THIS GREAT SALVATION!  Verse 12.

WORK IT OUT WITHOUT MURMURING!  Verse 13-14

                        BE BLAMELESS!  Verse 15

HOLD FORTH THE WORD OF GOD!  Verse 16

NOTE! THIS IS NOT A FEAR OF LOSING YOUR SALVATION,  BUT A FEAR OF LOSING GOD’S PRESENCE! Psalm 51:1-12.

A Christian can harden his heart by refusing to obey God: Hebrews 3:1-19.

Hardening of the heart is when we accept sinful habits as "normal."  This is also known in the Bible as "GRIEVING THE HOLY SPIRIT."  Ephesians 4:25-32.

When we harden our hearts, the presence of the Holy Spirit will slowly lift from us, until one day the Holy Spirit is no longer speaking to us and we have been left to bear our sins and shame!  How can a person know when he has reached this stage?

If you can sin and not feel bad about it, you have no feelings one way or the other, then the Holy Spirit has departed from you.  Ezekiel 44:1-16.

Since every Christian is "A SANCTUARY" (mini temple), we are not to pollute it. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

If a Christian accepts sin as normal in his life, he has become a carnal Christian!  Romans 8:1-8
