EVIL SPIRITS WORKING IN SECRECY
Part Four -- Compiled by John S. Torell

7 July 2002
So you have been through deliverance and after being delivered from turmoil and unrest you felt so light, so free and empty of all ugliness. But as the days go by, it seems like unseen cob webs are stretched around you and your joy level is going down. Your loved ones are telling you that they see no change, you are just as nasty as ever and your deliverance did not take. Demons are whispering to you that God does not love you and that there is no hope for you. Have you lost your deliverance?  NO!   But the Devil is contesting your freedom and trying to bind you up again. Let us now look upon some of the spirits (not the same as were cast out of you) Satan is sending to snare you again.

ACCUSING SPIRITS (Dealt with in Part One)

CRITICAL SPIRITS (Dealt with in Part Two)

THE SPIRIT OF BITTERNESS (Dealt with in Part Three)

UNLOVING SPIRITS - The Principality of Self
When Jesus was asked which is the greatest commandment, he told the person that we must love God with all our heart . . . , and love others as we love ourselves, Matthew 22:35-40

The principality of Unloving spirit is destroying the human being by seducing a person to condemn, hate and belittle himself.

First of all we must BELIEVE what God has spoken when he said that we were created in his image - Genesis 1:26-27.

Jesus would never have died for the human race unless the souls of men had a value in the eyes of God! Matthew 16:26.

Before a man is born again (John 1:12-13) he is dead in his sins (Ephesians  2:1-3), but when the soul is redeemed and the dead spirit is born again (Ephesians 2:4-10),then the brand new Christian has been RESTORED to the glory given to man before Adam and Eve fell into sin.

Loving yourself is loving your heavenly Father who has created you! Psalm 139:1-18.

Since we did not make ourselves, we cannot take pride in how wonderfully we are made, BUT WE SHOULD BE THANKFUL AND PROUD OVER THE GREAT WORK THAT GOD HAS DONE WHEN HE CREATED US! Colossians 1:9-29.

The flesh (the body) does not change at the time of salvation. Satan’s sinful nature will reside in the body until the day we die. But God has given us power over the body. However, unless the Christian exercises this power of God, sin will snare him. The apostle Paul speaks about this in Romans 7:14-25.

In Romans 12:1-2,  we are told to take dominion over the body and in 1 Corinthians 15:39-58.

Our skills and talents are not located in the physical body, but they are imprinted in our souls, which is "the person himself." Exodus 31:1-11; 35:30-35.

All physical skills in human beings are gifts from God. Some people have the gift of music, others have the gift of painting pictures, others have the gift of writing, some have the gifts of science and math, other have gifts of languages, etc. The world calls this "talent," but  The Bible calls them gifts from God.

When a person is gifted from God, there is an easy flow; when we try to learn something that we are not gifted in, it is hard work and we will never reach a high level in this field. This corresponds with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:1-11.

Picture yourself as a luxury automobile with every possible gadget and created with the finest material and with uttermost precision. This automobile is able to offer its passengers the finest and best in riding, sparing nothing to make the ride a total pleasure.

Does this vehicle have the right to boast how great it is? Absolutely not, since it did not make itself. But it can boast that it is able to give the finest possible service to a passenger, because of how it is made! Thus a Christian can boast  that he is able to give the finest service possible to others, because of how he is made and empowered by God through the Holy Spirit!  It is in  service to others by the power of God, that we can be thankful and proud ! Ephesians 2:8-10.

An Unloving spirit will always attack this concept and tell the person that he is nothing, a dud, a creep, worthless, dumb, stupid, ugly, fat, skinny, a born loser, unclean, unworthy, etc.

The Unloving spirit is a principality, and will have under his command the following evil spirits: Self-pity, self abuse, self rejection, self hatred, competition, self pride and many more.

Other strong demons will be Failure, Insecurity, Inferiority, Self torment, and many more.

A prime example of a man tormented by an Unloving spirit was Gideon: Gideon was fearful, thought himself to be nothing and basically just existed -- Judges 6:6-13.

God told Gideon to go in his might -Verse 14.

Gideon responded by telling how poor he was, there was no hope and as he was pushed by the Lord,  he wanted a sign. Verses 15-24.

Gideon still was afraid and worked in the night, because he did not believe that God was able to fully deliver him from evil! Verses 25-27.

Once Gideon had committed himself, there was no return (Verses 28-33) and now after testing God several times, Gideon knew that God loved him and cared for him: (Verses 34-40).

Reading Chapter 7 of Judges shows us that Gideon was a changed man.

STEPS TO FREEDOM FROM THE UNLOVING SPIRIT

1. Ask God to forgive you for not believing what God has spoken - John 3:16

2. Confess your inheritance in the kingdom of God and cast out all unloving spirits and all demons under their command!  Romans 8:14-18.

3. Start loving yourself!  Romans 5:1-11
