EVIL SPIRITS WORKING IN SECRECY
Part One

Compiled by John S. Torell

16 June 2002
So you have been through deliverance and have been delivered from turmoil and unrest.  You felt so light, so free and empty of all ugliness.  But as the days go by, it seems like unseen cob webs are stretched around you and your joy level is going down. Your loved ones are telling you that they see no change, you are just as nasty as ever and your deliverance did not take. Demons are whispering to you that God does not love you and that there is no hope for you. Have you lost your deliverance? NO!  But Satan is contesting your freedom and trying to bind you up again. Let us now look upon some of the spirits (not the same as were cast out of you) which Satan is sending to snare you again.

ACCUSING SPIRITS
Jesus told us that the Devil is a liar and the father of all lies. John 8:44

He is also known as "THE ACCUSER." Revelation 12:7-12

God created every human being with an understanding of being worth something. When a person starts believing that he/she has no value, this is the beginning of a mental break down that will end up with the person becoming mentally ill. Genesis  1:26-28

God created man to have a purpose in life! Genesis 2:15 Take away a man’s dreams and purpose for his life, and he will become sick and eventually die.

Integrity is important to every human being. When an attack is directed at a person’s integrity, it will shatter the confidence of that person. This is how the Devil attacked Job - Job 1:6-12; 2:1-6

When the Devil was allowed to tempt Jesus, the first two attacks questioned the deity of Christ, his very integrity. When this failed, the Devil tried to get Jesus to compromise. Matthew 4:1-11

Most people who have been delivered were bound by an "Arrested Development Spirit." (ADS) This demon has surrounded himself with a defense force of "insecurity, inferiority, worthlessness, failure, fear, etc." These demons have destroyed the persons’ worthiness, purpose in life and integrity." The ADS holds the person in a vice grip, and the person never matures emotionally.  The intellect is not damaged, but the person remains a child in his/her emotional development. 1 Corinthians 13:11

The result was that the demonized person made horrible decisions in life and over the years created a string of failures. Galatians 6:7-8

When a person is delivered, he/she is set free from these spirits, but the damage to the soul will take some time to heal. In most instances it will take at least a year. The Devil knows this and is merciless in his attacks on the "baby Christian," who he wants to kill before the baby develops into a strong soldier for Christ. The Devil attempted it with baby Jesus - Revelation  12:13-17; Matthew  2:13-18; and the Devil will do it to you and me, showing no mercy -1Peter 5:8

The Devil will send "accusing spirits" to enlist people to do his dirty work. The demonic spirits will sign up spouses, children, relatives and friends (including church members) to accuse and tear down. No effort is spared to destroy the emerging "baby Christian." Without mercy and with no slack at all, the attacks will come. James 3:13-16

HERE IS A BRIEF OUTLINE OF SATAN'S BATTLE PLAN:  (Condemnation)

        1. Refusing fellowship with a person who has changed.

        2. Holding people to their past behaviors.

        3. Keeping records of wrongs.

        4. Showing disrespect, contempt, disgust etc.

        5. Competition - put the person in his rightful place, by pushing him down

        6. Mistrust, always questioning the motive of the person, assuming a negative attitude

        7. Establishing non-biblical standards, so high they can never be reached.

        8. Heaviness, no joy, just a constant barrage of what should have been done.

        9. Gossip and innuendo, assuming the worse at all times

     10. Self exaltation- if you could be just like me, there would be no problems

     11. Being easily offended, and offending others without any hesitation

     12. Envy, jealousy, resentment

     13. Always misunderstanding the other person, casting doubts on him at all times

     14. Being pushed so hard that suicide looks very "good."

     15. Judging another for the same behavior of which we are deficient, while we excuse ourselves.

     16. Not accepting forgiveness, neither giving forgiveness to others.

     17. Always blaming other people, it’s all their fault, not mine.

     18. Trying to be the Holy Spirit for the other person.  ("God gave me a word for you . . .")

     19. Being judgmental, harsh, showing no mercy. I am fed up, I am not going to take this any more, you are a useless "idiot," I see no change whatsoever.

     20. Always focusing on the other person’s weaknesses; never giving credit for something good being done.

     21. Displaying an array of demonic activity, anger, bitterness, depression, fear, hate, low self-esteem, perfectionism, rejection, vanity, worry, suspicion, etc.

HOW TO DEFEND YOURSELF

A) Know your position in Christ - 2 Corinthians 5:16-18

B) Deflect all attacks, by returning evil with love, the love of God! 1 Peter 2:9-21

Do you have an ear with which to hear ?
