CHRIST IN YOU-THE HOPE OF GLORY
Part Seven

2 June 2002
It is Christ in us, who gives us the strength to face the world, who gives us faith, joy and power! Colossians 1:26-27

THE POWER OF GOD - THE FLOW OF DIVINE POWER
As we have learned before - GOD IS THE CREATOR, THE SOURCE OF ALL POWER.  IT IS ENERGY THAT HE IS CONSTANTLY RELEASING WHICH IS HOLDING THE ENTIRE CREATION IN PLACE! Hebrews 1:1-3

But it is important to understand that the energy that God through Jesus is releasing into his creation, is not his own divine being, but a created entity, which he made out of nothing - Hebrews 11:1-3

To clarify the foregoing statement, God is not part of His creation, but outside of it.  He is not in the trees, the water, the birds, fish or animals; He is not in the mountains, in the mist or the elements.  He created all of those things.  He is omniscient (all knowing), omnipresent (everywhere at once) and omnipotent (infinite power, over all).

God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit have always existed, they have no beginning and no end, but the creation that we are living in has a beginning - Genesis 1:1 and an end 2 Peter 3:7-13; Revelation 21:1-2

Hell shall be transferred over to the Lake of Fire, which will be an entity by itself, that shall forever exist, but in a closed system, stored some place by God.  Revelation 20:10-15

Satan has, from the very beginning, tried to reduce the MAJESTY AND THE UNIQUENESS OF GOD’S ETERNAL STATUS in order to elevate himself - Genesis 3:1-5

As long as Lucifer was content, obedient and receiving God’s energy, he was beautiful, powerful, good and gracious. But the moment he cut himself off from God, he became evil, ugly, nasty and a liar. He had not understood that a created being cannot exist away from his source (which is God) and be good. Isaiah 14:12-20; Ezekiel 28:11-19

As Christians, we are branches connected to the vine, which is Jesus Christ.  As long as we are connected and receiving the divine flow from Jesus into our lives, we will display the fruits of the Spirit. This is what Jesus taught - John 15:1-14

Fruits of the Spirit - Galatians 5:22-25

When a Christian starts to live in sin, he is cutting himself of from the vine, just like Lucifer did, and it does not take long for him to become ugly, dirty, nasty and vile.

Fruits of the flesh - Galations 5:15-21

As Christians we are saved by GRACE, but GRACE is not a license to live a sloppy sinful life. The Word of God is full of warnings, that we need to heed!  1 Corinthians 10:5-14; 2 Timothy 3:1-9

To be able to receive all that God has for us, we must protect our connection to the vine, Jesus Christ and make sure that we are not cutting ourselves off!  Hebrews 3:7-19

When a Christian sins, he is displaying his unbelief - he is simply saying this, I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT GOD IS A HOLY GOD AND THAT HIS WORDS ARE TO BE TAKEN SERIOUS, SO I AM GOING TO LIVE MY OWN LIFE AND DO IT MY WAY!  Isaiah 55:6-11

Do you have an ear with which to hear?
