EARTH - GOD’S UNIVERSITY OF FAITH
PART ELEVEN

December 26,1999
We are now going to study the different classes which are taught in this school.
Understand this, students cannot choose to elect certain subjects and drop others.
The curriculum is mandated by God, and must be taken.  Romans 9:9-24

Let us again refresh the teaching concerning time. The Bible tells us that a thousand earth years is like one day for God. 2 Peter 3:8.  Using this information, we can know the following: One hour in heaven is 41.67 years on earth. One minute in heaven is 8 months and 8 days on earth. One second in heaven is 3 days and 22 hours on earth.

Maximum time allotted to a person on this campus is 2 hours, 52 minutes, and 48 seconds (heaven time).  Earth time is 120 years.  Genesis 6:3

AGAPE LOVE
After studying the subjects of OBEDIENCE and MORALITY, we are now going to investigate the subject of love. In the English language today, we have basically only one word for "love." This is used to say that we love God or love a person, but it is also used for "I love ice cream, I love that suit, etc."  The New Testament was originally written in Greek, which has several words which express the feeling of love.

1. Agapao is a verb, agape is a noun, which means the "the kind of love that God has for people, strong enough to send his only begotten son to die for us." (Romans 5:6-10) The old English word for this kind of love is "CHARITY," as found in 1 Corinthians Chapter 13.

2. The Greek word for "I love to visit you" is "thelo." (Mark 12:38)

3. To love a person as a friend in Greek is "phileo" (John 11:3); love of brethren is "philadelphia" (Romans 10:12); love of money is "philarguriz" (1 Timothy 6:10); love of spouse or children is "philoteknos" (Titus 2:4); lover of husband is "philandros" (Titus 2:4); love toward man is "philantrophia" (Titus 3:4); and "eros" is the Greek word for sexual love.

To pass this class of AGAPE LOVE, the born again believer in Christ must learn to love God above anything else!

1. Make sure that God is the only one in your life - Exodus 20:1-5; Matthew 22:34-38

2. Learn to love other people - Matthew 22:39-40; particularly the church - John 13:1-15

This includes the people you have labeled as enemies - Matthew 5:43-48

3. Agape love will inspire you to witness and lead sinners to Christ - Matthew 28:18-20

4. Agape love will inspire you to pray for the sick and cast out demons - Luke 9:1; 10:1-3

5. Agape love will inspire you to love to obey Jesus Christ - John 14:15

You may test yourself on a daily basis to see how you are doing in this class - Galatians 5:22-25

The final written exam is found in 1 Corinthians 13. If you can earnestly state that you have been able to fulfill this entire exam, you are ready to be tested by God for your final grade!

Genesis 22:1-18
