"Choice on Earth" as opposed to "Peace on
Earth." While trying to be clever, a decade ago Planned "just kill your baby if
it is in the way" Parenthood came up with a Christmas card that simply says
"Choice on Earth" in support of their position that it is OK to murder innocent
babies. As the morals and ethics of our society have continued to erode over
the years, sadly this card has become more popular than ever. Let me make one
thing perfectly clear. While those who condone the murder of innocent babies
like to label themselves as "pro choice," the FACT is, they are "pro murder of
innocent babies." Theologically, this is not even a debatable issue since ALL
life comes from God, and killing an innocent baby is murder!
I find it interesting that Planned "just kill your baby if it is in the way"
Parenthood chose to parody the Biblical passage of "peace on earth." How ironic
to contrast "peace," embodied by Jesus who is the Prince of Peace, with
"choice," which in this context means that it is OK, if you choose, to murder
your baby. In the account of Christ's birth in Matthew chapter 2, we see Herod
the Great slaughtering all of the children 2 years and under in and around the
city of Bethlehem in an attempt to kill the baby Jesus. We read that and are
horrified how someone could be so cruel to kill innocent babies out of their own
selfish desires. Yet, are we as horrified as clinics in our hometowns are
killing innocent babies every single day because of the selfish desires of women
and men?
This is why God designed sex for a man and women IN MARRIAGE. Babies are a
natural blessing from sexual relations. The fact is, if people would obey God,
have sex within the confines of marriage, the abortion issue would cease being
an issue. That may sound oversimplistic, but it is true. Can you see how one
sin leads right into the next sin? When you choose to rebel against God, have
sex outside of marriage, having a baby is a very real
possibility. A woman is now faced with the reality of being unmarried and
pregnant, and a man with the reality of being unmarried and having the
responsibility of a child to support.
Are there options? Yes, two of them. ONLY TWO. The first is to have and keep
the baby. The second is to have the baby and put the child up for adoption.
***ABORTION IS NOT AN OPTION. You have already sinned by having sex outside of
marriage, don't compound your sin by murdering your baby! Let me add as a side
note. If you keep the baby, getting married is usually the WORST thing that you
can do. It is a lie from hell that this is the
"honorable thing to do." It is in most every case, the worst thing that you can
do.
Before you even consider marriage you need to get your walk with the Lord
straight, make sure the mother or father of your baby is a Christian and that
they get their walk with the Lord on track, and that you both take time to build
a spiritual foundation to your relationship. Otherwise, you will just be
compounding your sins and problems.
***To the men. Just because you are not
physically having this baby, this does not mean that you can just go on with
your life like it didn't happen. If you were man enough to help create this
baby, you better be man enough to take responsibility for YOUR CHILD. That
means financially, emotionally, and whatever else you can do to help YOUR CHILD
grow into a healthy, God-fearing, productive adult. Abandoning your baby makes
you worse than an animal!
I am often asked if abortion is acceptable in the case of rape and incest. The
answer is NO! Some people think that if you have an abortion and kill the baby
that was the result of this horrible act, it makes it easier for the woman to
move on with her life. In reality, the opposite is true. What really happens
is this. The horror of an abortion is something a woman NEVER forgets. In
having to deal with the memory of the abortion, it also brings back the memory
of the violent act that caused the pregnancy. This makes getting beyond the
tragic experience that much more difficult.
Let me say a word to those men and women that have the scar of abortion in your
life. Sadly, I deal daily with hundreds of women AND men that have made this
sad choice at some point in their life. Some of them did this 40 years ago and
still are dealing the hurt, and pain, and guilt. You can't go back and change
what you have done. 1 John 1:9 says that if we confess our sins, God forgives
us and cleanses us of all unrighteousness. Trust His Word. The Bible also
tells us that God not only forgives our sins, but forgets them. If He forgets,
than you need to forget as well. It is satan who reminds you of your past sins
to keep you paralyzed from serving God. HE IS A LIAR!!! Now is the time to
trust God's Word, and put it behind you once and for all. God still has much
for you to do.
I love you and care about you so much. I pray that today one person will read
these words that has been thinking of having an abortion. God is speaking to
your heart today. He loves you, and He loves that living baby inside of you.
Rather than listening to this evil world tell you that it is OK to murder your
baby, listen to God who put that life inside of you. Sadly, in our nation
killing an innocent baby is legal. That is a larger issue that we as a nation
need to address, change, and repent of. But regardless of what the lawbook
says, God says that killing your baby is murder. That is why reaching the lost
for Christ is so very important. When you change hearts, when people come to
know Jesus as their Savior, they quit listening to the world, and start
listening to God. Choosing Jesus is an eternal CHOICE!
