Truth is Intolerant
We receive a fair amount of email that criticizes,
condemns, and is downright intolerant of our supposed "intolerant beliefs" on various topics. We
are accused of "purporting hatred and bigotry" of
those who do not uphold what we believe; furthermore, we are told that as Christians, we need to love everyone and be inclusive of everyone's particular beliefs
so that a feeling of love would prevail after reading one of our articles.
Now, you might think the message we convey is
intolerant, judgmental, and disrespectful to your particular beliefs, and that
would be true. However, we speak the truth in love and you will always find there is
only one side in truth. Simply put, truth is intolerant, and it never changes to
suit the particular needs of an individual.
Using mathematics as an example, you will
find that tolerant or liberal mathematics simply don't exist; on the contrary,
mathematics can be described as bigoted, narrow-minded and prejudiced. Two plus
two will always equal four no matter how you try and turn it around. If
someone offered to sell you an airplane that had been built using liberal
mathematics – where two plus two does not always equal four – I daresay that we would all
decline the offer because it would be a disaster waiting to happen.
What if you were in the market for an airplane, and were
interested in having a company design and build it for you. Most likely you
would be extremely "narrow-minded" in how you dealt the the design engineers.
You would want your airplane to be made from quality materials adhering to exact
specifications. There would be no shortcuts allowed, after all, this is going to
be your airplane, and you want the best; you want to enjoy your airplane, not
die in it.
Even the most liberal individual in the world would agree on
this issue, tolerant mathematics and airplanes shouldn't mix or the results will
be disastrous. The God of all creation designed mathematics to function in a
specific way, however, many people don't want to acknowledge or hear about His
other values. When Christians try and promote Godly values, they are accused of
not being inclusive and insensitive to other cultures, traditions, and
religions. The goal is to shape Christianity into their vision, making it more
benign and friendly, and not so narrow-minded and intolerant.
This is what Jesus Christ said:
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have
lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for
nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the
light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do
men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it
giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before
men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in
heaven. Matthew 5:13-16
When Christians promote Godly values in this day and age,
there are many that see them as hateful and judgmental, when just the opposite
is true. It is a compassionate Christian that speaks the truth to those around
them.
Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the
house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning
from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest
him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save
his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I
require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his
wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast
delivered thy soul. Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his
righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he
shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and
his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will
I require at thine hand. Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the
righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is
warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul. Ezekiel 3:17-21
The same intolerant values God put into mathematics are true
of Himself. There simply is no grey here, it's
either black or white. This same God has given us His Word in
the form of the Bible. This same God is intolerant of other gods and paths to
heaven, and according to Him, there is only one way, and that is His way (Jesus
Christ is the only to God, there simply is no other way)!
I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no
saviour. Isaiah 43:11
I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God
beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know
from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I
am the LORD, and there is none else. Isaiah 45:5-6
I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I,
even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I
commanded. I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his
ways... Isaiah 45:12-13a
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God,
believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not
so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go
and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself;
that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye
know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can
we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:1-6
It is just a matter of time till somebody labels the Bible as
a book of hate. Christians quoting the Bible will be arrested for hate speech
and will be viewed by the world as "intolerant haters" who should be eradicated.
We strive to tell the truth about the way to
get to heaven, and if we are persecuted and labeled intolerant because of the message we bring,
that is a price we are willing to pay. The truth is the truth, it doesn't change! We have provided you with the
facts to make an informed decision, the most important decision you
will ever make. Now that you have been presented with the truth, has this
information strengthened your faith in your false religion?
