FROM FAITH TO FAITH  ---  FROM GLORY TO GLORY  ---  FROM NATURE TO NATURE

ALWAYS ABOUNDING!
. . . for the edifying of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:12)

Raymond Knopp

June 29, 2003

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. -- I Corinthians 15:58

Matthew 6:25-34: Too often today, the "church," takes God's Word out of context, and the result is false teaching -- Matthew 24:11; This is clearly seen today with the "prosperity" teaching that has infiltrated so many churches. The Bible does teach that God desires to prosper us, but what does He mean by prosper? Isaiah 55:11; Hebrews 11:24-25; II Timothy 2:12

Prosper

  • H6743  tsaw-lakh'  to push forward, break out, go over, be good, be meet, be profitable

  • H7919  saw-kal'  to be circumspect and hence intelligent: - consider, expert, instruct, prosper, (deal) prudently, have good success, teach, have understanding, or make to understand, wisdom, (be or make wise), to behave or consider wisely), guide wittingly.

  • H7951  shaw-law', shaw-lav'  to be tranquil, that is, secure or successful: - be happy, prosper, be in safety.

  • H3787  kaw-share'  to be straight or right; by implication to be acceptable; also to succeed or prosper

  • G2137  yoo-od-o'-o  to help on the road, that is, (passively) succeed in reaching; figuratively to succeed in business affairs:

Isaiah 58:1-14; (Ephesians 4:1-12) Is this letter written to the apostles? the prophets? the evangelists, pastors, and teachers? Ephesians 1:1

  • FAITH TO FAITHRomans 1:16-17; Habakkuk 2:4; Philemon 3:8-9

  • GLORY TO GLORYII Corinthians 3:18; Romans 8:17, 8:30; II Thessalonians 1:12; John 10:37-38

  • NATURE TO NATUREEphesians 2:3; II Peter 1:4

II Corinthians 15:58; Matthew 25:14-30

Understanding God's Word in light of our calling -- Acts 2:40-47; 4:32-37; II Corinthians 8:1-7

The first century church prospered because of sacrifice and God-centeredness. Are you ready to sacrifice? Do you really want revival? Do you really want a first century church? Are you willing to sacrifice and WORK as hard as those Christians did?

II Corinthians 9:8 and, our scripture for today I Corinthians 15:58 (top of outline)

If any man have ears to hear, let him hear -- Mark 4:23
