This is an ideal devotional book upon which to linger and
ponder. The theme of the book is that to worry is to doubt the love of our
Heavenly. We are blinded to His love by worry. Worry is preoccupation and focus
on the cares of the world.
When you’re wrong with God (worried), you’re wrong with
everything. Worry is the wrong focus. The only way out it is have a revelation
of the Father’s love.
Pearse listed four great truths that can help us be
victorious over worry:
-
We don’t have to understand the great mysteries of God.
-
Since God is our Father, we don’t have to perform to make Him
love us. He loves us anyway, and has provision for us all prepared. His love
isn’t based on our performance.
-
All that He is, He is for me and all that He has, He has for
me. A little child brings nothing, yet the Father makes all His things available
to the little child.
-
Our Father in heaven knows best how to train us for the
highest life.
The Lord would have us think of our salvation as a force
within us that makes man master of things, a master of circumstances. That is
because we are in Christ Jesus.
God gave man dominion over the world, but sin gives the world
dominion over man. Man can have riches if they don’t take over one’s heart. God
gave us the gift of life. So He will also give us that on which life depends.
Nothing can separate us from the Love of God through Christ Jesus. (Rom. 8:35).
In all our trials we are more than conquerors. Therefore, don’t be anxious! It’s
out of place.
This book can encourage and remind us to keep our focus on
the Lord who loves us and gave His life for us.
