TODD BENTLEY

Who is Todd Bentley? Until a couple months ago, almost no one in the world had heard of him. Then he came to Lakeland, Florida in early April for some meetings and suddenly there were reports of miracles happening with an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. These meetings have not stopped and have moved to larger and larger venues because of all the people wanting to attend. He is now the talk of the Christian media and people from all over the world are flocking to Lakeland to receive the "anointing." Due to his decidedly strange behavior and doctrines, we felt that creating a page with links to various articles and videos was in order because of the growing interest in him.

ARTICLES

Pastor Gary Osborne reports on Todd Bentley's "Revival" in Lakeland, Florida in a week-long series of posts as an in-depth eyewitness report from someone who attended and observed this "revival" as it unfolded.

Angels or Demons? - Berit Kjos
What's driving Todd Bentley? Why do thousands of people flock to his revival meetings? Some reasons are obvious. Many seek healing, financial success, spiritual experiences, prophetic knowledge and sensual entertainment. After all, Bentley puts on quite a show! Known for his heavenly visions, angelic "partners," mystical tattoos, and irreverent "teaching," he makes them laugh. Back in the eighties I read The Beautiful Side of Evil by Johanna Michaelsen. For many years she was caught up in the occult, yet she believed that the "angels" who reached out to her were servants of God, not Satan. One of those "angels" sounds strangely similar to Bentley's "floating" angel, Emma:

Contemplative Spirituality and the Todd Bentley Revival - Lighthouse Trails Research Project
Many people have been inquiring about Todd Bentley and the "revival" that is taking place in Florida right now. The following information will show Bentley's spiritual resonance with a man named Sundar Singh (1829-1929). At one point in Bentley's ministry, he had a vision of Sundar Singh - this vision greatly influenced Bentley.

Is Todd Bentley walking in the footsteps of mystics and seers?
Is Todd Bentley actually receiving revelations from God, or is there something more to his visions of angels and messages from heaven? For example, what about his vision of Sadhu Sundar Singh? Read the article and decide if these things are biblical.

VIDEOS

Todd Bentley was in Toronto a year ago, sharing stories of another visitation from an angel. (This is the very same church that gave us the "Toronto Blessing" with people laughing hysterically and barking like dogs.) Many people assume that he got all those tattoos before he was saved but this is not the case.

Todd Bentley describes how God works when a  woman was healed when a tumor in her leg exploded and slid down her leg. Then God told him to grab a crippled lady's legs and bang them on the platform like a baseball bat, kick a woman in the face with his biker boot and even punch a man in face. The video ends with Todd claiming that "God" instructed him to perform a "leg drop" on a pastor lying on the floor.

This is another video of Todd Bentley "ministering" to people and seems like the same manifestations of the "Toronto Blessing."

This is short video of Todd Bentley going down a line of people and just touching them. I suppose he is praying that the "anointing" will come upon them. Something definitely comes upon them as they start collapsing, shaking and screaming. Does this seem like the work of the Holy Spirit to you?

PICTURES

Here are some pictures of Todd Bentley's tattoos. Bentley was already preaching the Gospel when he willfully chose to disobey the Bible.
