Part 1: Distrust and Rejection

Christianity continues to decline each year despite the increased use of radio, television and the internet. Modern churches are trying to be relevant but fewer people each year are interested in what they have to offer. Young men graduate from seminary but their faith has been destroyed by the professors who molded them. A pastor with a doctorate of divinity degree is more or less a social engineer with no spiritual power whose sole job is to keep the church organization running smoothly. Adam and Eve had no preconceived ideas and operated in the child-like faith after their creation. We don't know the exact amount of time they spent in the Garden of Eden but it wasn't a couple of days. Eve did not trust Jesus and that is why she ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Adam was not deceived like Eve. He could have walked away and trusted Jesus to provide him with another woman, but he chose his gorgeous wife, effectively rejecting His Creator. Adam and Eve were made without iniquity but their poor choices dragged the human race into sin.
