UNDERSTANDING THE KINGDOM OF GOD
PART TEN - F     MOSES, GOD’S MAN

October 7, 2001
If a human being desires to walk closely with God, be led of God and do the will of God, that person must understand that God is holy and demands obedience above everything else. This was a lesson that Moses was learning, as he had become "the human king of Israel." Moses was told that the entire moving of the children of Israel was going to be monitored and handled by a high ranking angel. Exodus 23:20-33

At this point, Aaron had not understood this, and the people were spiritually blinded. Aaron should have taken notice of the holiness of God, but it did not matter how much he had seen of the glory of the Lord, he was unstable - Exodus 24:1-18

Remaining on the slope of the mountain were Joshua and the 70 elders, while Moses entered the top alone. After 40 days, the children of Israel could wait no longer. Satan had convinced them that Moses was gone and they needed a "god" which they could see.
Exodus 32:1-6

The deed was seen by God - Verses 7-10

Moses now became a priest, he alone stood between the people of Israel and God, who wanted to kill them all and start over new with Moses - Verses 11-14

But when Moses saw the depth of evil to which they had sunk, Moses could not take it any longer, he was more than angry - Verses 15-20

When Aaron was confronted, he lied to his own brother - Verses 21-24

Moses now demanded judgment - Verses 25-28, the ring leaders had to die.

Then Moses went back to God to plead for the nation - Verses 29-35

This was now a moment of eternal history that played out. Was God going to grant his mercy to the children of Israel? Exodus 33:1-3

GOD SAID, I WILL NOT GO WITH YOU, BUT WILL SEND AN ANGEL!

The people mourned - Verses 4-6

Since the people could not approach God directly, they watched Moses - Verses 7-10

Now Moses told God as boldly as he could, "I will not lead the people to the promised land, unless you God (Jesus) go with us step by step , I want to know your holiness, I want to know your glory, I want to know you!" Verses 11-23

God now met with Moses face to face again (Jesus and Moses), but this time Moses had to write on the stone tablets, since he had destroyed the first set. Moses did not argue, instead he humbly bowed his head and worshiped the King of kings and Lord of lords.

And he spent another 40 days and nights in the presence with the Lord - Exodus 34:1-28

When you have spent time with the Lord, people will know it, and those who are not close to the Lord cannot stand in your presence and be comfortable - Verses 29-35

Do you understand that God is holy? 1 Peter 1:13-23

Are you able to receive and understand spiritual truth ? 1 Corinthians 2:9-16; Hebrews 4:15-16

Are you able to understand that people who live a sloppy life, sin without being convicted by the sins and treat God disrespectfully, cannot worship the Lord? God must be worshiped in SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH!!!! John 4:21-24

ARE YOU A MOSES OR ARE YOU AN AARON???
