Signs of the End Times - Part 6A: Final Events

Describing the Great Tribulation predicted by Jesus cannot be delivered in a small quiet way since it will be the worst catastrophic event in the history of man as two thirds of the earth's population will be killed and the majority of them will end up in the Lake of Fire. Pastor John speaks again on lawlessness and what the Swine Flu is all about. He then defines what the Great Tribulation is and how long it is going to last. In reading the Bible, we find two parallel tracks of activity, Satan's and the work that God is doing on the earth. Pastor John then proceeds to detail what the Devil is going to do through deception, global financial control and how he is going to wage war against the true church of Jesus Christ. Pastor John thunders against the Mark of the Beast and warns Christians about its cost and how they will lose their salvation if they take it. He finishes by sharing what Christians need to do to prepare for this time of trouble called the Great Tribulation.

Signs of the End Times - Part 6B: Final Events

Pastor John makes a transition from Matthew chapter 24 to the Book of Revelation with a time period of some 60 years in between the two. In a continuation from last week, he points out the game plan of the Devil and that his fiercest attack is against the Bible. When people read from what pastor John calls "bastard versions," God's truth is polluted and the reader will not really know for sure what sound theological doctrine is. Getting into the sermon, Pastor John gives an outline about the Book of Revelation, how only Jesus can open the sealed book and who the four horsemen are. He also points out that there will be some Christians killed during this period by the Antichrist forces but Christians will be exempt from the wrath of God because He will seal and protect them from the coming judgments like when He made a difference between the Israelites and the Egyptians and the plagues that came upon them. The same will hold true for believers in Christ during the tribulation period.

Signs of the End Times - Part 6C: Final Events

Pastor John begins by detailing the trumpet judgments that God will mete out against the Antichrist and his followers. During a pause, God will have two witnesses preach truth and judgment in Jerusalem for 1,260 days. This will be a great embarrassment to the Devil because it is the capitol of his Antichrist, and Satan's world ruler will be unable to get rid of them during that time. Almost three and a half years later, seven plagues of wrath will be poured out on the earth destroying much of what is left and further punishing the people who have taken the Mark of the Beast. Sometime during these judgments God's people will be removed from the earth for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Pastor John then outlines the second coming of Christ, the thousand years kingdom, the last war on earth, and the Great White Throne Judgment for all unbelievers. You will get a description of creation's end and the new heaven and earth as God's people move into eternity. If you ever wondered what will happen in the end, this sermon is for you.

Relationships That Please God - Part 1A: What God Intended

In the Ten Commandments we find the kind of relationship God wants with His people and how he wants us to treat each other here on earth. All God-pleasing relationships are based upon this foundation of law and order. In the Book of Genesis, we find that everything is subject to God's laws but the original laws were changed when sin entered the world through Adam and Eve. The vegetarian diet of all creatures was changed as the curse of sin affected the earth. Then Pastor John focuses on the basic relationship of marriage upon which society is built and how homosexuality is a learned behavior God abhors. The message ends on how to raise children so that they will seek out good relationships.

Relationships That Please God - Part 1B: What God Intended

Legalism is the rallying cry for liberal Christians who do not want to submit to God's laws and dates all the way back to the Garden of Eden when the Devil said, "Yea, has God said?" Satan planted doubt in Eve's mind about God's decree not to eat of the forbidden tree and has used the same tactic for thousands of years to negate God's laws in the minds of people and lead them into rebellion, sin and a place in hell. In this message Pastor John identifies legalism and how salvation has nothing to do with the law and living out your life once you have been born again. Jesus never made the laws in the Old Testament null and void, on the contrary, He fulfilled the sacrificial laws but the moral and practical laws still stand. God has called you to live a holy life but that doesn't mean you can selectively choose which laws to accept or reject. Christians who believe in lawlessness will be greatly offended by the Lawgiver's words, "If you love me, keep my commandments."

Relationships That Please God - Part 1B: What God Intended

With the looming threat of a swine flu outbreak and a contaminated vaccine, Pastor John begins this message with a strong warning about how we have come to the place where Christian's will have to stand on Mark chapter 16, verse 16. He then proceeds into the sermon and makes a strong presentation about how God is holy and we must worship Him in spirit and in truth. This means respecting and obeying His laws because they are also holy. Murder was the second sinful act after the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden and a destroyer of the fabric of society. In conjunction with this topic, Pastor John brings up the abomination conducted in the United States this week, as an elaborate Roman Catholic funeral was broadcast on all television channels with the message that Ted Kennedy is now in heaven. What was not told is the role he played in legislating pro-abortion laws in the U.S. and the 50 million babies that have been murdered as a result. Pastor John closes the sermon with a discussion of the domestic laws that God gave to Moses and how they are the foundation for secular laws in England and the United States.

Relationships That Please God - Part 2A: Building Relationships

In this second part, Pastor John looks at the children of Israel and their humble beginning with the dysfunctional family of Terah, who was the eleventh generation of Noah and had knowledge of the true God but had led his family into idolatry. God called upon Terah to move from Ur but he was derailed in city of Haran and the call passed to Abraham. Although Lot came with him, he was also diverted and rejected to be part of the covenant with God. Abraham and Sarah went through much testing before God's promise was fulfilled through Isaac 25 years later. Abraham eventually stopped being a liar and became a man of faith and integrity and caught the vision of a city with a foundation whose builder and maker was God. If you're unsure of your identity and what God wants to do with your life, be like Abraham and catch the vision.

Relationships That Please God - Part 2B: Building Relationships

In this second message, Pastor John gives you a tour of what life was like during the time of Abraham and Sarah by explaining how food was prepared on a daily basis, what it was like to live in tents and that few people lived outside the cities in the open range of Canaan. He then describes how Abraham and Sarah's unbelief created strife when they became impatient and tried to help God. Ishmael, the son that Abraham fathered with Hagar, caused much strife and was rejected by God who told Abraham that Sarah would still conceive the child of promise. Abraham believed God and the new covenant was sealed by circumcision. The testing which Abraham and Sarah endured is no different today as God is still seeking those who will listen and obey.

Relationships That Please God - Part 2: Building Relationships

The Holy Spirit gave Pastor John a prophetic word during the worship service about how there will be attacks from the Devil when you walk with God and live a holy life. It blends well with this third message which addresses how there comes a time in each believer's life when you will need to hear from God. Twenty five years after leaving Haran, Abraham and Sarah were still waiting for the promised son. The long wait was used by God to squeeze out all their unbelief and lying; when they finally conceived, it destroyed the last inclination of unbelief as they realized God was supreme and nothing was too hard for Him.
