OUR SHIP HAS TAKEN A HIT!

Dear Friends,
It is
Sunday night when I write this report from our ministry in Sacramento. I have
just been informed that the Sunday offering today came up short by $3,200 to
clear all the bills for this month, the majority of it being for the rent of our
church building. It is obvious that we are under a severe attack by the Devil
and his demons. Jesus told us that Satan is the prince of this world:
“Hereafter I will not talk much with you:
for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.”
(John 14:30)
Jesus also
told us that the strong man must be bound before his house can be spoiled:
“…Or
else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he
first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.” (Matthew
12:29)
We know
that God uses His people to finance His work on earth. The majority of the
financing for our ministry comes from members of Resurrection Life of Jesus
Church; a few of the people are blessed with extra money and are able to give
above their tithe. (Deuteronomy 8:18) Our base in Sacramento is not
strong enough to handle all the costs of the ministry but there are a number of
people outside the Sacramento area who are “cyber members” of the church by
watching us every week and regularly tithing to the ministry.
For about
30 years I was on the radio Monday through Friday with several radio stations
and many listeners were supporting us so that we could pay for air time and have
some extra that we used in our church outreach. Most of our supporters stopped
their giving when I stopped preaching on the radio but a small loyal group
remained and accessed our website or received messages on cassette or compact
disc from us.
God has
been slowly building up a new support base when we began the webcasting in
December 2008 but it is not strong enough yet to bring in the necessary
finances. We have survived from month to month because certain people caring for
our ministry have given extra to fill in the gap. But I do not want to wear out
my welcome by asking them for more help; instead, the Holy Spirit impressed upon
me to write a general letter to all of our friends and ask you to be part of a
miracle. We must pay the rent by September 30th in order to keep our
facilities for the webcast. Time is of the essence and you can help in one of
three ways:

Now you
might say, “I helped several times and there seems to be no hope of
improvement,” but I will tell you that the competition for funds is fierce and
our small ministry is competing against the mega churches, the many Christian
television networks, and thousands of churches who are webcasting just like us.
God has given us a unique ministry of salvation, deliverance, healing and
prophetic teaching and there are not many people interested in these matters
when combined together.
God is
slowly but surely building our ministry but it is going to take some time. I
believe that as we diligently pray, fast and faithfully minister in the name of
Jesus that the day will come when our income will be there steadily month after
month.
My wife and
I have just come back from a rest period, the first one we’ve had in two years.
I can tell you that God met us in a wonderful way and we are refreshed and ready
to go full speed again. The Devil is not happy because every time we take some
time off, he always stirs up some trouble to get us depressed and tired in no
time at all but I refuse to accept the program Satan has lined up and I’m asking
you to help us in this time of need and roll back the forces of evil. Thank you
